  • Replace fast_jsonapi with jsonapi-serializer (unmaintained, Rails 8 incompatible)
  • Ruby 3.2.5 → 3.4.8 across Gemfile, .ruby-version, Dockerfiles, docker-compose, CI
  • Rails 7.2 → 8.1: bump load_defaults, fix render :blank → head :not_found, fix string status "422" → :unprocessable_entity, remove :copy from routes :only
  • Mongoid 8.1.5 → 9.0: rename field :type → :document_content_type (reserved word)
  • MongoDB 4.2/3.6 → 6.0 in Docker and CI configs
  • factory_bot_rails 4.11 → 6.2 (Ruby 3.4 removed observer from stdlib)
  • database_cleaner 1.99 → database_cleaner-mongoid 2.0 (Ruby 3.4 backtrace format change broke autodetect); rename :truncation → :deletion strategy

All 54 specs pass, rubocop clean.
